Job Overview
Acorn Builders is looking to recruit a Working Foreman to join our team, undertaking all aspects of site supervision and coordinating construction teams effectively to enable cost-effective targets to be met. Based around Pewsey and the surrounding areas, this is a hands-on role for an experienced site supervisor with a good knowledge of residential developments.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate the day’s tasks, including creating schedules for workers, overseeing the quality of the site, managing the budget and carrying out daily inspections in accordance with drawings.
- Procure standard materials from approved suppliers and check that materials, equipment and labour are on site to meet contract and programme requirements.
- Monitor and produce good quality work.
- Ensure that safety plans and method statements are adhered to on site by all operatives and sub-contractors.
- Ensure there is a safe system of work in place for all sites and that activities are carried out in line with health and safety procedures.
- Create and maintain all necessary paperwork required to ensure safe operations.
- Ensure all work site areas are prepared prior to commencement of work and cleared in a safe and correct manner.
Requirements
- Site Supervisor experience.
- Ability to supervise a team.
- Confident in taking information from drawings.
- A good knowledge of residential developments.
- Must have a valid UK driving licence.
Salary dependent on experience.
